Game Night equals Divorce?

Lets just say there are a few things Brian and I do not do well together. Both, I believe, due to my competitive nature that is rubbing off on Brian. Of all the wonderful things Brian has brought into my life like patience, selflessness, contentedness, all I have to give him is food to make him fat and competition driven spin on everything. So driving and having a game night do not go over well.

We started off with Apples to Apples, had a wonderful time and some pretty good laughing. Being an individual game and the first game of the night, it went well. I won. (which is unusual for me, I never win that game!) Then we went to Family Feud, boys vs. girls. That was pretty good too. Girls won 2 out of 3. Then it was time for Cranium, possibly the best board game in the world! Girls vs Guys, guys won by one question. Then it happened. Couples Pictionary. By the time Jan and Isaac and Brad and Kari were half-way around the board, me and Brian finally moved past the first square with a whopping roll of the dice, 2. This is where it really comes out. Brian's slamming down his 2-inch pencil, I'm putting my head in my hands, arguing that my pregnant lady looks like everybody elses so why can't you get it? How does my cow look like a ladybug? Haven't you seen uders before? You never pay attention! Brian's clock looked like a ufo, Jan and Isaac were arguing over his airplane (I thought it was stairs at first) even when they got it right. While Brad and Kari did amazing the whole game, when it was time to leave Brad walked out the door and left Kari carrying about 6 dishes stacked to her chin. So next time we have a game night I think we will go to marraige counseling prior....


This was a victory number one and a slap at the same time. To all of our surprise, she really made contact. I think thats why she's so happy. When I told her I'd never slapped Brian she was like well practice and Brian and Isaac were shouting NO!!!
