Aww shucks

First of all, we had a great weekend in Oklahoma! First one since sometime back in May! Went to a baseball game, slept in, tried out a new church we love!, went to a Strawberry Shortcake B-day, hung out with friends, and made plans to do it again next weekend. I've really been struggling with not having a church to call our home but we're hoping this one will work out. It's a starter church with a lot of young people and a super nice pastor and a fabulous wife. So if we did join, we could really make a difference and help the church grow and just be a part of something Christ is doing. We've had a hard time finding a balance between music, age, outreach, doctrine, and just being in town...until next week-




While at ASBC I became obsessed with Jon and Kate Plus 8. Since it came on 4 or 5 (maybe more) times a day, I watched it all day. And when I wasn't watching the show, I was reading Kate's book. I loved her book at the time, she talked about her faith and how she relied on God to make so many decisions during her pregnancy and all the little miracles she saw after they were born. More about the kids than their marriage but some about her and Jon. I never looked down on them for doing the show, how else are you going to send eight kids to college? But it breaks my heart to see them get sucked in to the fame and the money and the stress and not be able to pull the plug on the show when they needed to. I hate to see them split and still have the cameras there in the house. I hate it. But I love their kids. I love their kids so much I never want to see them on my tv again. Except Aiden. I LOVE Aiden.
