New Best Friend

I'd like to introduce you to my new best friend. We can laugh and cry together, watch sad or funny movies together, I can tell her all my secrets and know she'll keep them. Her name is Mildred.

She's also my Christmas present. I found her at an antique store booth at the largest craft fair in OK and literally called my husband every 30 seconds for 2 hours so I could scream into the phone I KNOW WHAT I WHAT FOR CHRISTMAS AND I NEED TO GET IT NOW! Thank goodness he said yes because I would have come home with it anyway. She's a real vintage mink stole. (Vintage - probably in terrible shape but wayyy cheaper than a new one) Sadly Mildred will stay in a box until Christmas. I will miss her.

Granny Panties

There are a few things I think are completely un-sexy, socks and granny panties. I don't care how cold it is or how naked you are, socks can kill it. Not saying I don't wear socks but 99% of the time they come off with the shoes. And I sure do love my Brian in a blue uniform! but the socks and the suspender type things that keep his shirt tucked in make me laugh every time. Not so sexy underneath...
I own two pairs of granny panties. For some reason when I am sick I want my bottom warm but I only wear them in extreme cases of illness. Fast forward to yesterday. I make the comment I need new undies. Brian asks from the other room"Functional or non-functional?"

WHAT?

I don't know how much more non-functional you want to go sweetheart because you have nothing to complain about! He says "just messing with you." I say I'll mess with you. I pull out my white cotton bikini cut that almost touch my belly button from the very back of the drawer and walk in. Lets get one thing straight, Brian has never ever answered yes when I ask does this make me look fat. Never said why don't you wear something else? Never agreed with me when I say I look like a bum because I still have my pajamas on, hair in a pony tail, and no make up on. He may think it but he never says it. Until yesterday. I walk in and his face snarls into a look of disgust and he says "Ugh take them off" in the same tone I would use if I ever found a dead mouse in my house. On the outside I keep playing it off while on the inside I catch my self in the mirror and think "Ugh take them off!" So we both agreed no granny panties until they are necessary to cover up or hold up.

Week 5

My favorite. Not only because of the outside but because the inside is dark chocolate with raspberry filling. I could just possibly eat this cake all by myself.

Texas Wedding Time!

Our good friends Jay and Misty finally tied the knot. They have so much personality, Jay is one of those that talks like HEY BRITTANY HOW ARE YOU! and Misty is one of those women who is just a solid rock. No matter what she's been through, she comes through it stronger than before. So you get a clear picture of how great these two are here's how they got engaged.

Jay goes hunting down in Corsicana and took Misty for a trip. Except he went down early and mowed into a grass field, MISTY WILL YOU MARRY ME? I don't know about the question mark, that would take skills. Anyways, thats the proposal. So they obviously know how to do things right and their wedding was a blast.

What Texas wedding is complete without......Mexican food! Fun times even though against all my upbringing I hate Mexican food. Nothing racist, too spicy.

I love Christmas lights. Anytime. Anywhere. Definitely a whole tent made out of them! You know pictures never do it justice, I was in heaven.

This is the best picture I have of them, I was too busy having fun. What you can't tell from this is she has a beautiful dress and the hat Jay is wearing has a mullet attached to it. And Misty still loves him!!

This is where Jay's personality comes from, his mom. Go Paula go!

One last note. The wedding was held in their backyard, a real backyard with land and a creek and some trees and a chicken coop. (Lucky duck has terrorized those chickens before) What a great idea, an outside wedding in October. Nice fall weather in Texas, 70's during the day, still warm at night. Oh wait we're talking about Texas. One thing about Texas weather is that tends to be finicky. Cloudy, damp, and cold. Like 50-40 degrees cold. Good thing I had lots of warm brisket and did lots of dancing!!
I worked to hard on this outfit not to wear it! We love you Jay and Misty!! and the mini pecan pies you gave out as favors!

Week 2

COMGRATS! Don't worry, next time it won't be a cursive N. Thank goodness there are lots of hungry people in the squadron who don't care!
