Texas Wedding Time!

Our good friends Jay and Misty finally tied the knot. They have so much personality, Jay is one of those that talks like HEY BRITTANY HOW ARE YOU! and Misty is one of those women who is just a solid rock. No matter what she's been through, she comes through it stronger than before. So you get a clear picture of how great these two are here's how they got engaged.

Jay goes hunting down in Corsicana and took Misty for a trip. Except he went down early and mowed into a grass field, MISTY WILL YOU MARRY ME? I don't know about the question mark, that would take skills. Anyways, thats the proposal. So they obviously know how to do things right and their wedding was a blast.

What Texas wedding is complete without......Mexican food! Fun times even though against all my upbringing I hate Mexican food. Nothing racist, too spicy.

I love Christmas lights. Anytime. Anywhere. Definitely a whole tent made out of them! You know pictures never do it justice, I was in heaven.

This is the best picture I have of them, I was too busy having fun. What you can't tell from this is she has a beautiful dress and the hat Jay is wearing has a mullet attached to it. And Misty still loves him!!

This is where Jay's personality comes from, his mom. Go Paula go!

One last note. The wedding was held in their backyard, a real backyard with land and a creek and some trees and a chicken coop. (Lucky duck has terrorized those chickens before) What a great idea, an outside wedding in October. Nice fall weather in Texas, 70's during the day, still warm at night. Oh wait we're talking about Texas. One thing about Texas weather is that tends to be finicky. Cloudy, damp, and cold. Like 50-40 degrees cold. Good thing I had lots of warm brisket and did lots of dancing!!
I worked to hard on this outfit not to wear it! We love you Jay and Misty!! and the mini pecan pies you gave out as favors!
