Lubbock Trip

This past weekend Brian had a 3-day weekend so we decided to make a trip home to Lubbock. The plan was not to have a plan so we could just relax and spend time with my parents and brother. The trip pretty much went as planned and we had a wonderful time. I got to do a lot of shopping and running errands with my mom and she made me the most fabulous blueberry dessert (currently on the cover of Taste) while Brian and Hunter got to do boy things like shoot guns and play video games.

Brian is now officially a part of the family, after almost two years he was finally sucked into the family of Texas Roadhouse. For those of you who don't know, my dad has a Texas Roadhouse and works himself to death every single day and is the best boss you will ever have. Working a catering this weekend really brought back some good memories and it was pretty fun to throw Brian head first into the business. He never waited tables and I thought it was about time! Here's my brother and dad with Brian.

One more last note worth mentioning about the trip. I have a marble game and mom found the missing marble and I was going to take it home this trip, not thinking it would come back to Oklahoma in Ranger's tummy...
For about 36 hours we cold not find the marble anywhere and were monitoring Ranger's poop. I wish we had video because the whole family was out there mashing and poking and looking for this stupid marble. So after calling the vet and accepting the fact that while the marble was not interfering with bodily functions, it was not coming out on its own and would be a very costly operation and planning to take him in and payment options and everything else...
I found the marble.
Here's Ranger with Alaska, known in our neighborhood for eating a golf ball, piece of firewood, and a chunk of trampoline. We hope he didn't learn any bad habits...By the way Alaska is about 7 years and 110 lbs and Ranger is about 6 months and 60 lbs.
