Last weekend we spent a few days at the lake with our friends Daniel and Desi. They've known Brian since high school and are just a great couple we can relax and do nothing with. They brought down their boat so Brian was in heaven the whole time. The boys water skiied, after seeing them bust over and over we girls just went around on the tube. I tried to ski last summer and it didn't work out that well and I didn't feel like putting that much work into skiing, just my tan which thanks to sunscreen, didn't happen.
Ranger went swimming for the first time, if you can call standing on the shore swimming. At one point he put his front legs around my leg, it would have been really funny if he hadn't looked like he was seconds away from death. Lucky was swimming circles around him as if saying "look what I can do!" I never get tired of watching Lucky in the water, he is so awkward and goofy all the time but when he gets down to the lake he becomes a different bird. The picture below is old, they don't have the sailboat anymore but we took off one time thinking Lucky would stay by the shore but he followed us and ended up riding with us across the lake.
We stayed with my grandparents on the way back and they just loved him! Granny kept giving him bacon under the table so he licked her the whole time. Grandad just has this natural attraction for dogs, every dog we've had just worships him. Ranger gave him plenty of attention and his nap spot in their house is right by his chair. Here he is sitting by Granny cause she just made cookies and he was waiting for a taste of what he smelled. Oh funny Brian story- so they gave us a GPS that talks and has a screen and whatnot and Brian's comment was
"Good now instead of you telling me what to do it will tell you what to do." That will give you a hint of how well we travel together :)
