Won't you be my neighbor?

So after settling into the little yellow house a bit we have had time to meet the neighbors.  Here's the good, the bad, and the ugly...
1. Little old couple across the street has lived in their house since 1967, super sweet and she loves to watch Chase run around her yard.
2. Little old couple two houses down brought us brownies, need I say more?
3. Family next door has two teenage kids and the husband is so nice, the kind that mows our part of the yard that touches his.
4. Older family lives on the other side, the night I met him the first words out of his mouth were "You'll have to excuse me, I've already taken my teeth out for the night."
5.  Couple behind us is the most interesting, Lynn is fond of his liquor.  He is quick to lend tools, give us tomatoes fresh off their vine, talks airplanes with Brian, and really watches out for us, just don't let him breath on you.

Since we've been in the house we've found 3 brown recluse spiders (EEEEEK!!!!  I kept wondering why God would send us the perfect house if it's got those creepy things!)  To tell you the truth,  since I have killed two of them (Brian got the third) I am totally over my fear of spiders.  I feel so free!  But I did ask some of the neighbors for their advice on getting rid of them, because Chase loves to pick bugs up.
Neighbor 3: "Well I kill brown spiders all the time I don't care what kind they are.  Next time you find one come get me before you kill it so I know what they look like..."
Neighbor 5:  "Nah I don't have those in the house, but I found a black widow out in the shed.  My homemade bug spray killed her real good.  I still got some of that DDT in the garage, what me to spray your house for ya?"

No thanks!
