Brian thinks I'm joking. When I first mentioned it I told him "It's not like I'm asking for Tiffany's, I'm just asking for Brighton," he actually laughed out loud.
Really it should be called a "hey way to hang in there for nine months and putting up with throwing up every other day, heartburn, hemorrhoids, swelling, weird hair growth, back pain, leaky boobs, getting fat, carrying around my offspring that likes to beat the shiznit out of your insides, etc." (Now I have not had to put up with all those things but ladies back me up on this...)
So I wasn't sure of exactly what I wanted till I found these babies....

Pair of custom made vintage heels in silk. When I told Brian I wanted them he said something about "saving" money and being "responsible" with a baby on the way. Well let me tell you buddy if you were "responsible" with your boys we wouldn't be in this situation now would we?
Don't you wish you could say things like that outloud?
I will keep you updated on the status of the push present aka battle of the wills.
I think you should get them:) You've earned them! I get clothes and shoes I can't use while I'm pregnant and Isaac calls them "motivation" clothes. They help me want to get back in shape after the baby...b.c. you know you're going to need a dress to match those awesome shoes!
ReplyDeletehahahaha oh girl, you make me laugh so hard! i love the witty way you write. though i am not a mother, in my own humble opinion, you deserve whatever "push present" you desire!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThose are super cute! Good luck with convincing him to get them!
ReplyDeleteBrittany, you are so the best. Say it the way it was meant to be said! That shee-ot sucks. I was getting ready for a flight one day when another guy on the plane said that women should man-up and do it without the epidural... I wanted to tell his wife exactly what he said. He clearly wouldn't be practicing on making another kid if she heard that.
ReplyDeleteI know what you could get for a push present! To not have to be pregnant any more and brand new sweet little baby! Tell Brian to put a bow on him and maybe use a little wrapping paper. haha.
ReplyDeleteShoes have not been bought but he is well aware of the pressure...sara great idea but my husbands wrapping skills consist of boy scout knots and foil, I'd never be able to open him!
